TRIP HIGHLIGHTS                                                    

 We start  in Hanoi-Vietnam and end of tour in Vientiane-Laos. We use road bike for this trip, the tour will riding premier destination in North Vietnam , bit mountain in Laos. Cycling over 900 km for two country Vietnam-Laos, we’ll ride in very quite road of Ho Chi Minh trails, continuing on, we’ll climb some mountain (650 m ) in Laos . The subsequent exciting descent also offers outstanding sceneries through local coffee plantations, tribal communities and vibrant countryside. We'll cycle into the picturesque Mekong River . Agrarian local life and untamed topography means that most of the population lives in bamboo huts that cling to the sides of scarred, limestone hillsides.  We’ll finish our bicycle trip in atmospheric Vientiane.  A true road bike expedition

Day 1

Meeting in airport, transfer to hotel in Hanoi. Group meeting in afternoon .

Overnight in Hanoi


Hanoi- MaiChau

After breakfast in hotel .We transfer Southwest to Hoa Binh Province and then we cycling to Mai Chau, home of the White Thai. We have a home stay in traditional style house.

 . Overnight in Maichau (L,D)


 MaiChau- Cam thuy (+- 115km  asphalt road )

 Cycling belong of  Ma river.  The road gets more beautiful the closer you ride to  CamThuy with looming karst limestone cliffs and lush bamboo forest .

Cam Thuy- Thai Hoa( +- 120 km asphalt road )

Ride  on the newly built two lane Ho Chi Minhtrails Highway there is very few traffic! The road makes for smooth fast riding,  plenty of exploring possibilities along the way.
Ride  on the banks of River Song Chu, the distance covered today is quite long and there will be the chance to transfer some sections by the back-up vehicle to rest weary legs. There are fewer villages today as the route cuts through forests and jungle. Arrival ThaiHoa very late. Dinner and overnight Thai Hoa guesthouse.

Day 5

ThaiHoa- PhoChau ( +- 120km, asphalt road )

The ride is on smooth road and passing peaceful villages and stunning mountain range

Day 6

Pho Chau- Laos border - Lak Sao  ( +- 130 km, asphalt road )

 After breakfast we take riding from Hotel to Laos border ( Cau Treo border station ) , Pass port check in, continue cycling to Lak Sao town .

 Dinner and Overnight in Lak Sao ( Laos ). (B,L,D)

Day 7

Lak Sao- Pak Xan (  Cycling +- 90km, asphalt road )

 Today we will  cycling in Laos country . After leaving the bustle of the town, we cycle through pastoral agricultural land passing paddy fields and more intensively farmed areas . short climbs just before we reach our destination at Pak Xan. Dinner and overnight in Pak Xan. (B,L,D)

Day 8

Pakxan- Vientiane  (  Cycling +-130km, asphalt road )

Cycling to Vientiane. The ride near MeKong river and tribal villages along the road. End of  riding day in Vientiane. Overnight in Vientiane. (B,L,D)

Day 9

Vientian relax (  No cycling  )

Free time for explore Vientiane

Overnight in Vientiane (B,D) . Fare well dinner and end of trip


Vientiane Departure

Free time until transfer to airport for departure flight (B)

Bike Hire

 If you bring your bike please ensure that you bike is in good working order before you leave on tour. If you are not the most mechanically minded we suggest that you get your bike looked at by a professional bike mechanic. In particularly we would suggest looking and adjusting all wheel spokes, greasing all your bearings, checking your brakes/gears cable, tighten all nuts and bolts, check chain, quick release clamps, tires and put in new inner tubes and check wheel rims are not worn. In addition make sure the bike is well serviced and ride it with as much care and attention as possible.
