TRIP HIGHLIGHTS

Vietnam is a land of rich beauty. From tall mountains and limestone formations to dense jungles, river deltas, and pristine beaches--its ecological treasures alone make it a unique destination. Combine this with a wonderful and fascinating culture and history, and you'll soon experience why Vietnam is so special. This extreme 8 days  trekking tour to Fansipan ( the highest mountain in Vietnam 3,143m ),  and mountain bike trip takes you to the very heart of the north west Vietnam mountain . You will discover some of the finest cycling trails in Vietnam has to offer.

Day 1: Hanoi- Night train

Meet at the hotel collecting bike from cyclist . Dinner and transfer to train station for night train to Laocai at 8 :30 PM. Overnight on train )

Day 2: Laocai- Sapa mountain bike. (B, L, D ): Distance ride : +- 65 Km. D+1250m   D - 500m, 10% off road.

Arrive in Lao Cai: after breakfast , Back road riding to Sapa. Afternoon rest and free time for visiting Sapa. Overnight in Sapa . (B,L,D)

Day 3: Sapa Trekking. (B, L, D ):

Take a jeep transfer 15km via Silver Water Fall to Tram Ton Pass at 1.940m. From here trek through thick tropical jungle. Stop for Lunch at a nice spot with great view of the west side area.
Continue through the thick jungle, the trail gets narrower and steeper. Some part is really slippery and dangerous but the nature get wilder and wilder. We reach to the top of a mountain at 2.800m where our camp will be set for staying overnight. You and your guide, porter put together camping and prepare for dinner. Sitting around the campfire is friendly and adventurous. This may be once in a lifetime experience. Overnight on tent

 

Day 4: Sapa trekking- Fansipan roof of Indochina ( 3,143m ). (B, L, D )

Wake up and Breakfast, this day is just for you and tour guide. The porter is required to stay at the camp to look after all your gears. We follow a narrow trail passing through forest and bamboo bushes, which get smaller and shorter as we approaching to the peak. A hard trek heads up to the top, but ropes are unnecessary. After 2 hours challenging up the steep path, you will reach to the top Fansipan Mount. Congratulation! you will be the vanquisher. Staying here to enjoy your success as well as great view of a ever green scenery stretching under your feet.
The way back, of course less hard but still dangerous. Arriving back to the 2.800m camp at noon, we have long break for Lunch and recovery.
Most of the trail in the afternoon takes you downhill but very dangerous because many part of the trail is just a narrow track on the steep side of the mountains. Late afternoon, We station at a nice spot on the level of a 2.200m mount, put up our camp, cook our Dinner and stay overnight.

Day 5: Sapa trekking. (B, L )

Waking up in the freshness and pureness of wild nature, enjoy Breakfast. The trail today is less tough and go through a well protected area of the Hoang Lien Son nature reservation, one of the wildest part, rich in plantation and wildlife.
After Lunch at a nice sport, we continue down hill to Sin Chai Village where we spend an hour visiting this pretty Black H’mong village before transferring by car to Sapa. Having shower, time to discover Sapa town on your own,

Day 6: Sapa- Laocai : mountain bike (80km) (B, L)- 3/5 grade

Depart at 08.00am after breakfast at the hotel. The mountain bike today is in 7/10 challenger , we ride along  downhill from Sapa to Ban Ho village then riding to Thanh Kim. We start offroad uphill mountain bike in dirt trails to TangLoong then take long way to downhill to Nam Thang. Lunch box,  continue biking late afternoon mini bus pick up to LaoCai. Overnight in hotel in LaoCai.

Biking  85km, 35 km off road , +780m, -1000m

Day 7: LaoCai-BacHa (B, L): mountain bike 48km

Breakfast in local restaurant with rice noodle soup, banana pancake, breads, coffee, tea… Transfer by van to An Ho stating riding to Phin Giang- Bao tan- Coc ly with 2 of climbing with 10% , more than 3 and 5 km per one climb. After more than 20 km we arrival Coc ly where we will take 60 minutes boat trip on Chay river. Bike will put on boat with clients. Arrival Bao Nhai , Coc Dao riding up to Bac Ha ( 38 km off road ) climb +1,300m ,  no minibus stand by with group until to the hotel. Overnight in hotel. Dinner in local restaurant. Overnight in hotel Bac Ha

Day8: Bac Ha- CanCau- Bac Ha (B, L ) ( 50km offroad, trails, single track, dirt trails )

After breakfast in Hotel, we start biking from hotel to Hmong villages, riding on mountain trails climbing several mountain from 5 to 7km. 

Distance: +- 50 Km. D+: 1150m   D-: 500m. (B,L, D )

 

Day9: Bac Ha- Cocly-Laocai (B, L) (45km offroad , trails, asphalt )

Riding down hill to Coc Ly, boat trip on Chay river to BaoNhai, lunch time in local restaurant . Transfer to Laocai station, package bike and relax before have dinner and take night train to Hanoi.

Arrival Hanoi in next day morning ( 6:00AM). End of Service
